The company Brankamp was founded in 1977 and acquired by Marposs in 2012. Brankamp is now a brand managed by MARPOSS Monitoring Solutions GmbH and marketed through the Marposs worldwide network.
Decades of experience in the cold forming-, stamping- and forging industry are embodied into the Brankamp systems to improve productivity, part quality and reduce production costs.
In 1977 the Brankamp GmbH based in Erkrath (Germany) introduced and developed this innovative form of process monitoring. It particularly improves part quality and the degree of utilization in industrial manufacturing. It offers innovative technologies for in-process monitoring on forming-, stamping- and forging machines. Wherever a high-quality means of measurement is needed for industrial manufacturing, Brankamp systems have become an integral part of the operation in countless companies. They prevent process failures and reduce machinery setup times. In addition to this, machines are promptly shutdown by the monitoring devices when there are process errors - minimizing machine and tool damages.
There are over 55,000 Brankamp applications in use in various industries around the world, particularly in the metal processing industry. Often, customers have equipped their entire manufacturing process with Brankamp in order to take full advantage of networked manufacturing in the area of Industry4.0.
In 2012, Brankamp joined the Marposs Group, which is the leading group of companies for production measurement technology.
